See Tortola from sea and land, starting from the vantage point of the Caribbean Sea. The boat tour highlights the beautiful spots of this unique archipelago, including the southern shoreline and the surrounding islands of Salt, Peter and Norman, infamous as hideaways for pirates and buccaneers. Continue past uninhabited islands on your way to St. John, preserved for posterity by philanthropist and conservationist Laurance Rockefeller, before arriving at Soper’s Hole, a picturesque anchorage historically infamous for the cover it provided for pirates preying on merchant ships. Stroll along the boardwalk and browse boutiques and souvenirs shops before boarding the bus for a driving tour along the north shore of Tortola. Pass through fishing villages before ascending to the Ridge Road, named after the island ridge through which twists, for spectacular views of Tortola and the surrounding islands. Highlights: • Tour the beautiful British Virgin Islands by boat, including the southern shoreline and small islands from which pirates launched their raids in days gone by.
• Stop at picturesque Soper’s Hole to browse for souvenirs and stroll the boardwalk. • Ride along Ridge Road for panoramic views of Tortola and the surrounding islands.
