Embark on an exciting tour as you board a comfortable motor coach and journey across the lush tropical landscape of Martinique. You will make a stop at the beautiful Saut Gendarme Waterfall, whose cascading waters provide a picturesque setting, perfect for rejuvenating your senses with a refreshing river bath. Next, you’ll explore the Depaz Distillery, situated at the foot of Mount Pelée along the shores of Saint-Pierre Bay. Discover its rich history dating back to 1651 and enjoy a VIP rum tasting experience, learning about the island’s distillation traditions. Continue your adventure at Anse Turin, a remarkable historical beach nestled in the north of the island. Here, the black sand, a legacy of Mount Pelée’s volcanic activity, creates a unique landscape. Learn about its significance as the landing site of Christopher Columbus in 1502 and the former residence of Paul Gauguin. Indulge in dried organic tropical fruits and rum punch (or fresh tropical fruit juice) before leaving the beach. After your time at the beach, you will return to the ship.

Important Notes: Not suitable for guests who rely on a wheelchair, motorized scooter, walker, or cane. The path to the waterfall can be slippery, with some steps along the way. Participants must be able to walk approximately 0.85 miles over varying uneven and level terrain with cobblestones, sandy and concrete surfaces. Over the course of the tour, participants will negotiate over 100 steps and several inclines. Guests must consider their physical fitness level and medical history when determining whether this tour is appropriate. Guests with cardiac conditions, other heart or respiratory conditions must take precautions when selecting this tour. Guests with asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, preexisting neck, back, knee or shoulder injuries, or any other medical condition must take caution when selecting this tour. Guests who have concerns must consult with their personal physician before engaging in any activity that may be strenuous for them. Please be aware that there are no restrooms or changing facilities available at Saut du Gendarme. Legal age to purchase and/or consume alcohol is 18 years. Service animals not allowed. Shops are closed on Sundays and holidays.
