Embark on a journey through the lush, mountainous north of Martinique, where nature and history intertwine. Your first stop is Saint-Pierre, once the “Paris of the Caribbean” before it was famously destroyed by the eruption of Mount Pelée in 1902. After taking in the town’s historical charm, continue past rolling plantations of sugar cane, bananas, and pineapples, all while appreciating the beauty of the island’s tropical landscapes. Next, arrive at the celebrated Rhum J.M distillery, located at the foot of Mount Pelée. Take a guided tour of the grounds and learn about the traditional techniques still used to craft one of Martinique’s finest agricultural rums. A tasting session is included. Your final stop is the peaceful coastal village of Grand-Rivière. Once a WWII departure point for resistance fighters bound for Europe, the town holds a unique place in Martinique’s history.

Minimum age to participate is 6 years. Service animals not allowed. Legal age to purchase and/or consume alcohol is 18 years, with a companion 21 years or older. Shops closed on Sundays and holidays.
