Barbados, considered the birthplace of rum, is home to Mount Gay Distillery, founded in 1703 and believed to be the oldest rum found anywhere in the world. For three centuries sailors and seamen have sipped its amber silk and, during a visit to Mount Gay, you’ll literally taste the history that’s shaped Barbados’ past. As you arrive at Mount Gay Distillery in St. Lucy you’ll tour the Distillery with a knowledgeable brand expert exploring the Distillery Great House, the Well House, Molasses House, the Pot Stills House, and the Bond where you’ll have the opportunity to taste four of their classic liquids.
