Board your transport and head out to Old Road Town, stopping at the Wingfield Estate and a stop at the Railway Bar. Then head to the base of your hiking trail, and set out on foot through a rainforest alive with exotic plants like heliconias, bamboo, ferns, palms, elephant ears, and breadfruit. Sample some of the local fruits along the way, like guavas, strawberries, coconut, grapes, and sour sap. Also delight in the butterflies, caterpillars, and colorful lizards that are abundant here. Observe the drop in temperature and increase in moisture as you venture deeper into the forest. Experience the peaceful sounds and sights of crystal-clear streams. You might even be lucky to catch a glimpse of the African green vervet monkey and other wildlife. Afterwards, stop at a local restaurant to refuel with local pastries, fruits, and local drinks before your return. Important Notes: • Full participation may require extended periods of walking over even and uneven surfaces, steep terrain and/or water activity in a slight current. There may be steps, inclines, cobblestone surfaces, and extended periods of standing. Participants with physical limitations should take this into account. • Drinks are included. • Minimum age is 3 years old. • Pregnant women and guests with back or neck injuries should not participate.
