See some of the best sites of Nevis, starting with the Museum of Nevis History, in the house where Alexander Hamilton was born. Drive through the island capital, Charlestown, en route to the Bath hot springs, long renowned for its healing powers. Drive past the historic Fig Tree Church, a beautifully preserved 17th-century stone church that famously displays the marriage certificate of British naval commander Horatio Nelson and Fanny Nisbet. Next, drive past the Montpelier Plantation Inn, a former sugar plantation set on 12 acres of lush grounds and now regarded as one of the island’s finest resorts. Next up is Botanical Gardens of Nevis, a spectacular, eight-acre tropical plant garden in the shadow of Mt. Nevis featuring a glass conservatory rainforest and Mayan temple waterfalls.
