Begin with a scenic drive to Parham Harbour, where your boat whisks you away through North Sound Islands and the mangroves to Great Bird Island, one of Antigua’s best locations for snorkeling. Gear up and follow your expert guides into the crystal-clear waters that hide an underwater tropical paradise. Make sure you keep your eye out for sea turtles that live in the waters. Back on land, hike up the hilltop trail to take in wonderful views of outlying islands and Antigua. Spot migrating whales out in the water, sea turtles, and the many varieties of birds who nest here throughout the year. While on the island, enjoy the beaches and surrounding coral reefs, and look for the Antiguan racer snake in the wild. (Don’t worry. They’re harmless.) Indulge in a delicious Caribbean lunch of barbecued chicken, pasta, green salad, and local banana bread for dessert, served on the beach, before your return boat ride. Highlights: • Spend some time on Great Bird Island, an eco-island paradise, where you can snorkel and discover the pristine underwater world with your guide, spotting turtles and tropical sea life. • Go on a hike to take in spectacular views of neighboring islands and spot nesting birds and maybe even the Antiguan racer snake. • Relax on the white-sand beach, go for a swim in the clear waters, and enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch accompanied by rum punch.
