Your journey starts at the pier where you will board a motor coach for a narrated drive through St. George’s—the picturesque capital of Grenada—on your way to Annandale Waterfall. At Annandale, some of Grenada’s 450 species of flowering and medicinal plants, and additional spices can be seen. Your next stop will be Fort Frederick, situated on a ridge 800 feet above sea level, from where there are wonderful panoramic views. A chain of forts—Fort Matthew, Fort Lucas and Fort Adolphus—adjoin Fort Frederick, and are said to be connected by a network of underground tunnels. Your tour then continues through the charming village of Woburn, where scenes from the movie “Island in the Sun” were filmed, and on to Grand Anse Valley before arriving at Grand Anse Beach. Here, you will be welcomed with a complimentary drink at the World famous, Esther’s Bar. You can spend up to an hour and a half on the beach before returning to the ship.
