We depart from the port and take a roughly 30-minute drive to Robinson International Airport for a flight to Tobago’s sister island, Trinidad. Upon arrival at Piarco International Airport in Trinidad, we will board a motor coach and travel east, passing villages and towns set against the backdrop of the scenic Blanchisseuse Mountain Road, which offers a picturesque drive through tropical rainforest, cocoa, citrus, and coffee plantations, arriving at the Asa Wright Nature Centre nestled in the Aripo Valley. The nature center is a microcosm of bird, insect, butterfly, and plant life, which you will experience through a guided tour of the walkways led by expert naturalist guides. The center is renowned for its magnificently restored estate house. One highlight of this tour is, as they say, having a bird’s-eye view to admire the large numbers of hummingbirds and other birds, including the famous toucans, mot-mot, and woodpeckers, to name a few. After our walk through the trails, we will break for a light lunch. We will then return to the airport for our flight back to Tobago, followed by a short drive back to the ship.

• Guests in wheelchairs or motorized scooters, and those with limited mobility should not select this tour. • Guests must be able to walk over uneven and rocky terrain and negotiate 1-2 steps into aircraft. • Participants should be fit and active. • Guests sensitive to heights should not select this tour. • Passport and government issued photo ID required for this tour. • The drive to/from the airport is approximately 30 minutes each way, depending upon traffic and local conditions. • The scheduled flight time is roughly 30 minutes and weather dependent. • Guests who have been diving within 24 hours of flight should not select this tour.
