Board your air-conditioned bus for a drive along St. Lucia’s stunning west coast. As you travel past hilltop views, quiet villages, and traditional fishing communities, you’ll get a true feel for the island. Your first stop is Horizon Cocktail, a viewpoint offering sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy unlimited tastings of locally infused rums, a regional specialty known for bold flavors and tropical ingredients. The drive continues to La Place Kassav (Cassava Place), where you’ll watch a local family prepare cassava pastries using traditional Amerindian techniques. Ground from fresh cassava root, these treats are a staple of island cuisine, and available to sample or purchase on-site. Next, travel through the village of Canaries to Cacoa Sainte Lucie for an interactive chocolate experience. Learn how local cacao is harvested and processed, visit the factory floor, and sample house-made chocolate in a range of styles and flavors. With a deeper appreciation for St. Lucia’s food, culture, and scenery, you’ll return to the pier.
