Your visit highlights both the challenges and the resilience of rural agriculture. Learn how the Department of Forestry now supports farmers by planting fruit trees and other vegetation to protect the watershed, reduce erosion, and create natural windbreaks. Meet a working farmer and observe the full process of banana cultivation from planting to harvesting. Hear firsthand how traditional farming methods are being used with more sustainable practices to preserve both livelihood and land. Finish the tour by tasting fresh St. Lucian bananas before we had back to the pier.
