Buzz into the busy life of bees at the Iyanola Apiculture Collective site, which is dedicated to supporting beekeepers in developing ecologically sound, symbiotic relationships with nature and the expansion of the honey industry. Learn the history of beekeeping in St. Lucia and interesting facts about bees, honey, and strategies being used to save endangered bees. Follow your guide, who is also an experienced beekeeper, to a safe observation room, where you can see the beekeeper interacting with the bees in the hive. Next, sample exotic local honey and make your own candle from natural beeswax. Enjoy a refreshing juice before returning to the port with your own special candle made with love by the master candle maker, you! Highlights: • Find out the buzz on beekeeping in St. Lucia, including the history, fun facts about bees and honey, and efforts to save endangered bees.
